Harassment, Intimidation, and Bullying

The South-Western City School District (SWCSD) is committed to training, implementing, and upholding policies and procedures that preserve a school environment free of harassment, intimidation, and bullying.

Harassment/Intimidation/Bullying Information
According to South-Western City School District Policy 5517.01 - Harassment/Intimidation/Bullying, the District Webmaster will post the confirmed number of harassment, intimidation, and bullying incidents on the South-Western City School District Website to the extent permitted by R.C. 3319.321 (Confidentiality of Student Information) and the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act of 1974 (FERPA). These reports will be posted semi-annually in accordance with the policy.

Title IX InformationTitle IX
Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972 prohibits sex discrimination in educational programs and activities. All public and private schools, school districts, colleges and universities receiving federal funds must comply with Title IX.

The regulations implementing Title IX are enforced by the U.S. Department of Education Office for Civil Rights and prohibit discrimination, exclusion, denial, limitation, or separation based on gender. Intended to end sex discrimination in all areas of education.
